Samantha Akkineni (née Ruth Prabhu; born on 28 April 1987) is an Indian actress who has established a career in the Telugu and Tamil film industries, and is a recipient of several awards including four Filmfare Awards.
Though she is not a terrific actress she could emote to some extent when compared to many other heroines. The combination of super luck and good attitude, somewhat decent work is the reason behind her popularity and success in South Indian movies.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most popular and highest-paid Telugu and Tamil film actresses. As an undergraduate pursuing a degree in commerce, she worked part-time on modelling assignments. She made her acting debut with Telugu romance film, Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), which fetched her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress and a Nandi Award.
